The Tweet is Mightier Than the Wall: The Evolution of Political Dissidence in China
(Paper published & presented at National Technology & Social Science Conference, Las Vegas, NV, April 2011).
China possesses an infamous history of political dissidence; yet while this broad sentiment has little changed, the dissident medium has evolved into something more potent than ever before witnessed. This paper explores not only how dissent has evolved, but evaluates the role of contemporary digital activism in modern Chinese dissidence, its strengths, weaknesses, and future potential.

China's Cybercrime: Policy Lost in Global Cyberspace
(Literature Review published in Opus Politicum, Summer 2011, Vol.II, Iss.2).
This literature review reveals a major gap in the academic publications and research regarding one of the most serious threats to global (and particularly U.S. and Western) national security--a cause for significant concern if governments and individuals are to sufficiently protect themselves against cybercrime attacks. The last decade has seen a plethora of research and writing in respects to China's social adoption of the Internet, but scholars of technological trends within the Chinese state must now start to focus their attention on its cybercriminal and cyberterrorism practices.

Communist China: A Red Flag for the West?
(Essay published in Opus Politicum, Spring 2011, Vol.II, Iss.I).
The world's eyes have been glued with increasing intensity towards China for the past couple of decades; however, despite major strides in both the economic and political arenas, China's future direction remains a disturbing mystery to many in the western world.
